Replacing the FSCM is a straightforward job you can do in your own driveway. On most Sierra models, it’s located on the driver’s side frame rail, near the spare tire.
- Safety First: Disconnect the negative terminal from your truck’s battery.
- Locate the Module: Find the FSCM mounted to the inside of the driver-side frame rail.
- Disconnect the Harness: Carefully press the release tab and pull the main electrical connector away from the module. Inspect the connector for any corrosion or damage.
