Is Your Sierra Denali Stalling or Refusing to Start?

If your 2011-2012 Sierra Denali 1500 is experiencing frustrating issues like engine stalling, hesitation under acceleration, a long crank time, or a complete no-start condition, a failing Fuel System Control Module (FSCM) is a very common culprit. You might also see the check engine light with diagnostic trouble code P069E, which directly points to a fault in the FSCM’s performance. Don’t let a faulty module leave you stranded. This is a direct-fit, reliable solution to restore your truck’s performance and dependability.

Expert Pro Tip: Check for Corrosion First

In my 20+ years as a technician, I’ve replaced hundreds of these FSCMs on GM trucks and SUVs. The most common cause of failure isn’t internal electronicsโ€”it’s the location. Mounted on the frame rail, these modules are constantly exposed to water, road salt, and grime. Before ordering, take a look at your old module. I’ve seen countless units where the aluminum casing has corroded so badly that moisture gets inside and destroys the circuit board. When you install your new module, applying a thin layer of dielectric grease to the connector pins is a simple step that can add years to its life by sealing out moisture.

The Smart Solution: Pre-Programmed and Ready to Install

Forget the hassle and expense of a dealership visit. We take the complexity out of the repair by programming this module specifically for your truck using your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This ensures it has the latest GM software updates and communicates perfectly with your vehicle’s other systems right out of the box. Simply provide your VIN at checkout, and we handle the rest.

Symptoms of a Failing FSCM:

  • โœ” Engine stalls unexpectedly, especially while driving.
  • โœ” Vehicle cranks but will not start.
  • โœ” Noticeable hesitation or power loss during acceleration.
  • โœ” Check Engine Light illuminated with code P069E.
  • โœ” Reduced fuel economy.

Plug-and-Play Installation Guide for your 2011-2012 Sierra Denali 1500 FSCM

Replacing the FSCM is a straightforward job you can do in your own driveway. On most Sierra models, it’s located on the driver’s side frame rail, near the spare tire.

  1. Safety First: Disconnect the negative terminal from your truck’s battery.
  2. Locate the Module: Find the FSCM mounted to the inside of the driver-side frame rail.
  3. Disconnect the Harness: Carefully press the release tab and pull the main electrical connector away from the module. Inspect the connector for any corrosion or damage.
  4. Remove the Old Module: The FSCM is typically held in place by two or three bolts. Use the appropriate socket to remove them and take the old module off the frame.
  5. Install the New Module: Mount your new, pre-programmed FSCM in the same location and secure it with the original bolts.
  6. Reconnect and Finalize: Plug the electrical connector firmly back into the new module until it clicks. Reconnect your battery terminal. The installation is complete, and no further programming is required.
