Restore Your Vehicle’s Brain and Get Back on the Road with Confidence
Do I need to do anything after installing this ECM?
Yes. While we handle the main programming, you MUST perform a security relearn procedure (often called a Passlock or anti-theft relearn) after installation. This syncs the new ECM to your vehicle’s keys and security system. It’s a simple procedure that takes about 10-30 minutes and requires no special tools.
How do I provide my VIN?
Simply enter your 17-digit VIN in the designated box on the checkout page. We cannot program and ship your module without a correct VIN, so please double-check it for accuracy.
Is this part difficult to install for a DIYer?
Not at all. For most vehicles like the GMC Canyon, it involves disconnecting the battery, unplugging a few connectors, and unbolting the old unit. The most important part is performing the security relearn correctly after installation.
Will this fix my P0601 code?
Yes. The diagnostic code P0601 (Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error) is a definitive indicator of internal ECM failure. Replacing the module is the correct and only repair for this specific code.
Are your modules new or used?
We provide reliable, quality-tested modules that are guaranteed to perform to OEM standards. Each unit is inspected and then programmed with the latest GM software for your specific VIN to ensure a lasting repair.
