- Safety First: Disconnect the negative terminal from your truck’s battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
- Locate the Module: Find the TCCM mounted to a bracket under the driver’s side dash. It’s a small black or silver box with several electrical connectors.
- Disconnect and Remove: Carefully unplug the electrical connectors. They have locking tabs that need to be depressed. Once unplugged, unbolt the module from its mounting bracket.
- Install the New Module: Bolt the new, pre-programmed TCCM into place. Securely plug in all the electrical connectors until they click.
