Easy Installation Guide for your 2003-2006 Yukon XL 1500 PCM
You can do this job right in your driveway with basic hand tools. The PCM on most of these trucks is located in the engine bay on the driver’s side, next to the battery.
- Safety First: Disconnect the negative terminal from your vehicle’s battery.
- Locate the PCM: Find the module under the hood, typically on the driver’s side fender well, near the battery tray.
- Disconnect the Harnesses: Carefully unclip and remove the wiring harness connectors. These connectors have locking levers; be gentle to avoid breaking them. Inspect the pins for any corrosion or damage.
- Remove the Old Module: Unbolt the PCM from its mounting bracket and remove it from the vehicle.
