Restore Your Truck’s 4WD Capability with a Reliable, Programmed TCCM
Why do you need my VIN number?
Your vehicle’s VIN allows us to program the TCCM with the exact software and calibrations from GM for your specific truck model, year, and options (like transfer case type). This ensures it works perfectly right out of the box, with no additional programming needed.
Is this a plug-and-play part?
Yes! Because we program it to your VIN before shipping, it is a true plug-and-play solution. You simply remove the old module and install this one. No trip to the dealer is required.
Will this fix the ‘Service 4WD’ light?
In the vast majority of cases where the TCCM is the diagnosed point of failure, this part will resolve the issue and turn off the warning light. We always recommend confirming the diagnosis before ordering, as the light can also be triggered by a faulty encoder motor or selector switch.
Where is the TCCM located on my 2011 Silverado 3500?
On most 2007-2014 GM trucks and SUVs, the TCCM is mounted to a bracket behind the dashboard on the driver’s side, typically above and to the left of the steering column or near the emergency brake pedal.
What if I install this and my 4×4 still doesn’t work?
While this module fixes the most common cause, 4×4 systems have other components like the front axle actuator, transfer case encoder motor, and the dash switch. If the problem persists, it indicates another component in the system may also need attention. This programmed module successfully rules out the TCCM as the problem.
Are other part numbers compatible?
Yes, this module is a direct replacement for a wide range of GM part numbers, including 24261367, 12588096, 24239190, 24240487, 24241143, and many more as listed in our compatibility chart.
